This residential lobby was cold and outdated. Noticing a lot of short term rentals and the need for more visible security, the strata desired a warmer and more welcoming feel to their lobby entrance as well as the addition of a desk for their building manager and security team.

Enter Live Outside the Box Studio, with a vision and a team to take this lobby to the next level!

To create a more welcoming lobby, we decided to tone down the stark contrast of black wood paneling and electric blue vertical panels by lightening and brightening up the space as a whole. The black wooden panels were softened with a coat of grey paint, and a more subtle grey lobby rug was installed.

​

A new concierge desk was custom designed to accommodate the unique needs of the building manager during the day and security by night. The soft grey of the painted panels was mimicked in the millwork of the concierge desk and a gorgeous stone top to finish off the upper surface - perfect for guests to be greeted at.

Two soft blue, leather, occasional chairs were chosen for visitors to lounge in and some life was incorporated by adding some greenery.

The owners and strata were thrilled with their new lobby and custom concierge desk.
