The washroom is typically one of the smaller rooms in a home - if not the smallest, and many face the same problem of not having enough space to store their products and gadgets; both male and female, we tend to collect a lot of washroom products. Here are some simple tips & tricks to keeping your washroom organized:

Have you ever gone looking for something you know you have, but you can't seem to find it? Perhaps it's that sunscreen from last year - you remember buying a full bottle at the end of summer... it has to be somewhere, or that certain hair product for when it's damp and you need to tame your frizz... you know it's there, but. The first step towards organization is eliminating what's not necessary. If you haven't used something in three or more months, you're likely not going to use it for another three or more months, consider donating it.

The second step towards organization is being able to comfortably find what you're looking for. If you can't see your products & gadgets, you're not going to use them. The area under your sink can be used to it's maximum potential; it just takes a few quick measurements and a trip to your local hardware store (or dollar store). A simple rack, as pictured below, can be installed to a cabinet door in minutes and will save you time and energy when preparing for your day. A clever under-cabinet shelving system that fits comfortably around plumbing pipes, pictured below, is essential to maximize the storage space in a washroom; with an additional shelf you've just doubled the amount of space you have!

Towel storage is another common issue we face. With so many washroom products under the sink, there's typically no space left for clean towels. Consider using a wine rack on the back of your door or on the wall, if space permits. It's a great solution for both freshly laundered towels and towels that need to dry. The bottom two hooks can be utilized for the drying towels and the nice, clean towels can sit on top until they're needed. In a small space multifunctionality is essential!
